CHEER DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM
Building Champions Through Smart Progression
Cheerleading combines athletics, artistry, and teamwork like nothing else out there. At H.O.A, we develop well-rounded cheerleaders through systematic skill progression always emphasizing safety, technique, and confidence at every step.
Whether your daughter wants to make the school cheer team, join an all-star squad, or just master some seriously cool skills, we'll help her get there.
SAFETY FIRST, ALWAYS
Let's talk about the most important thing: keeping your daughter safe.
Cheerleading is an incredible sport, but it requires proper training and safety protocols. We follow USA Cheer guidelines religiously, and all our coaches complete USA Cheer Safety & Risk Management certification. That means they understand legal responsibilities, medical protocols, and proper skill progressions.
We emphasize safety awareness and proper technique in everything. Appropriate skill progressions for each level-no skipping steps. Qualified spotting throughout skill development. Readiness assessment before any athlete advances to the next level. Environmental safety factors in all training.
Your daughter's safety is our first priority. Period.
WHAT WE WORK ON
Motion Technique
Clean, sharp motions are the foundation of cheerleading. Every routine starts here, and visual impact comes from precise arm movements.
We train proper technique for all standard motions-high V, low V, T, broken T, daggers, and everything in between. Timing and sharpness (hitting positions crisply, not lazily). Body alignment during motions. Smooth transitions between positions.
Motions should be executed with tight fists, proper arm angles, and consistent placement every single time. That attention to detail is what makes a routine look polished.
Jump Development
Jumps showcase athleticism and add excitement to performances.
Our progressive jump training covers approach mechanics and arm swing (proper setup makes all the difference). Toe touch technique and progression. Pike jumps, hurdlers, and specialty jumps. Height development through both strength and technique. Landing mechanics for safety and smooth transitions.
Athletes develop the strength, flexibility, and coordination to execute impressive jumps consistently-not just once in a while when they get lucky.
Tumbling Progressions
Tumbling adds spectacular athleticism to cheerleading. Our systematic progression ensures athletes master each level before moving forward.
Level 1 (Foundation) builds basic gymnastic skills: forward and backward rolls, handstands and handstand snap-downs, cartwheels (and opposite-side cartwheels-non-dominant side matters!), bridge downs, and flexibility development. These foundational moves build core strength, flexibility, and body awareness that's critical for everything that comes next.
Level 2 (Development) introduces the back handspring-the cheerleading staple everyone wants to learn. Athletes also work on round-off back handsprings, front handsprings, front walkover-round-offs, and back extension rolls. These moves develop upper body strength, better control, and enhanced spatial awareness.
Level 3 (Intermediate) builds on back handspring mastery with multiple back handsprings in sequence, round-off back handspring tucks, standing tucks, aerials, punch fronts, and combination passes that flow together smoothly.
Level 4+ (Advanced) introduces high-level skills for experienced athletes always with appropriate progression and safety protocols because we're not rushing anyone through levels just to look impressive.
Stunt Fundamentals
Stunting requires teamwork, trust, and technique. It's where cheerleading really becomes a team sport.
Athletes learn all positions-flyer, base, back spot-because understanding every role makes you better at your own. Foundational loading and dismount technique (getting into and out of stunts safely). Thigh stands and basic two-leg stunts. Shoulder sits and progression stunts. Grip technique and hand placement. Timing and communication (stunts fail when people aren't on the same page).
We emphasize proper body positioning for both bases and flyers, building the strength and technique necessary for safe, impressive stunts.

HOW WE APPROACH TUMBLING PROGRESSION
Here's the deal: mastering tumbling skills takes time, consistency, and patience. There are no shortcuts.
At each level, athletes must demonstrate consistent execution during moderate to high endurance training and to counts before advancing.
We're not looking for "I landed it once." We're looking for "I can do this correctly every time, even when I'm tired."
This approach prevents injuries and builds the foundation for advanced skills. Athletes who rush through levels often develop technique problems that limit their long-term potential.
We'd rather build it right the first time.
WHAT A TYPICAL SESSION LOOKS LIKE
Warm-Up & Conditioning (15 minutes) Dynamic preparation, cheer-specific activation, and strength work.
Motion & Jump Training (20 minutes) Technique drills, combination work, and jump development.
Tumbling Block (30 minutes) Progressive skill work at appropriate levels with proper spotting and safety protocols. This is where we build those skills your daughter's been dreaming about.
Stunt Development (20 minutes) Position-specific training and partner/group stunt progressions. Everyone gets time as a base, a flyer, and a back spot so they understand all perspectives.
Routine & Performance (30 minutes) Choreography, synchronization, and performance quality development. Putting it all together.
Cool-Down & Flexibility (15 minutes) Active recovery and targeted stretching for cheer-specific flexibility needs.
WHY ELEVATE STANDS OUT
Most cheer programs focus only on cheer skills. We do that and we also prepare athletes physically for the demands of the sport.
That means strength and conditioning designed specifically for cheer demands. Multi-sport cross-training that builds versatile athleticism. Mental performance training for competition confidence (because stage fright and competition nerves are very real). Certified coaches following USA Cheer safety standards at all times.
We develop cheerleaders who are technically excellent, physically prepared, and mentally ready to perform their best when it matters most.
WHERE THIS CAN LEAD
House of Opulence Cheer Training prepares athletes for school cheerleading tryouts (JV and Varsity levels), all-star competitive cheer teams, sideline and game-day performance, dance team and pom squad opportunities (the skills transfer beautifully), and college cheerleading programs.
